Devbhoomi Chitrakala Producer Company Limited is a community-owned collective rooted in the rich handicraft traditions of Uttarakhand. Formed by skilled artisans and craft entrepreneurs, especially women from the Scheduled Caste communities of Pithoragarh, our mission is to preserve, promote, and modernize traditional crafts while empowering local livelihoods.
With more than 1500 artisans already engaged and over 4000 craftspersons in the region, our journey is about collective growth—where the hands that weave also own the company they build. By focusing on skill development, sustainable practices, and market expansion, we are creating an ecosystem where heritage thrives and artisans prosper.

Nestled in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, Pithoragarh is home to the exquisite craft of handwoven carpets, rugs, and durries. Traditionally practiced by the rural artisans, this heritage craft is known for its intricate patterns, vibrant colors, and use of local, eco-friendly materials such as wool, cotton, and natural dyes.
Every rug tells a story—of mountains, of resilience, of generations who’ve passed down their artistry with pride. Today, we bring design innovation to this tradition by blending contemporary aesthetics with age-old techniques, producing carpets and textiles that are not just functional but artistic expressions.
In addition to carpets, our artisan products include shawls, sweaters, sofa covers, scarves, table mats, and more—each piece handmade, each piece unique.
